Kim Petras’ debut album, “Feed the Beast,” is a mixed bag. On the one hand, the album is packed with catchy hooks and danceable beats. On the other hand, the songs are often uninspired and disappointingly safe.
The album’s lead single, “Alone,” is a good example of this. The song is a catchy pop anthem with a strong hook, but it doesn’t really do anything new or innovative. The same can be said for many of the other songs on the album.
There are a few exceptions, however. The song “Sex Talk” is a fun and flirty ode to casual sex, and the song “Hit It From the Back” is a steamy dance track. But these songs are few and far between.
