“Barbie The Album” is the soundtrack album for the 2023 film “Barbie,” directed by Greta Gerwig. Rolling Stone’s Tomás Mier wrote that “Barbie the Album” is like a perfect night on the Dreamhouse dancefloor. You won’t want it to end⁶. The album’s diversity of sound has been praised by many critics.
In my opinion, the album is not necessarily great but it works as a perfect soundtrack for the movie. I would give it a score of 60 out of 100. Some of the tracks are catchy and fun to listen to. For example, Lizzo’s “Pink” and Nicki Minaj’s “Barbie World” are great tracks. However, some of the tracks feel out of place on the record and don’t enhance the LP’s Kendom portion. Overall, it is still a decent album.
